I have a lot planned for this year and I’m going to try to make every day in 2020 count. It’s my new resolution. I will admit that I haven’t published anything in awhile, but 2020 and 2021 will change that.
As I’ve already announced, last year’s NaNo project was a twisted Alice in Wonderland novel titled Insanity. It’s a novel about Alice’s adventures in a dark Wonderland where everyone seemingly wants Alice dead on her hunt for a crystal that could save the world and has the power to send Alice back home. I’m very excited for this book to come out as it has a gorgeous dark cover and a strong concept. I have about 5,000-10,000 more words to write on it before it’s hitting the editing stage before publishing.
The second book I’m working on was inspired by A Court of Thorns and Roses and is also a book about Fae and a war that has the ability to spread to the enslavement of mortals. Fallon’s favorite fairy tale was one her dad would always tell them of Emberfall, a magical place where all the Fae lived and how the Fae wanted peace with the mortals so their princess married a mortal prince in hopes the union would produce children. Never really believing it, Fallon grows up willing to do anything to protect her family from the harsh people of Ravenspire. She didn’t believe in the stories until one night, during a storm, her father is hurt and while trying to help him, she’s hit by a giant ball of light. Then of course there’s some gorgeous Fae men and Fallon learning how she can help. I won’t give too much more away as it could spoil some of the book.
On top of those two book, I have at least one short story and a secret project book that I also need to write. In other words, this year will be a lot of writing and I’m ready for it. I’m ready to get more words written and to push out new books. I’m even developing a new method to my planning and writing methods that I hope I can turn into a writer’s journal next year to help other authors. I’m very proud of the words I’ve written already since NaNo and I’m ready to get more books out there.
Just be on the lookout for more by me!
